Manusulu Semanda, known professionally as King Saha, recently shared his feelings on social media after videos of him appearing distressed circulated online. He expressed his annoyance over the persistent accusations regarding his alleged marijuana use.
During a TikTok live session, King Saha stated, “I’m tired of people calling me a ganja smoker. First and foremost, I find the smell unpleasant. Secondly, doctors say it can damage your lungs. Thirdly, it diminishes your appetite. Lastly, no one smokes weed and loves his women. So why would I put myself in that situation?”
The accusations about his alleged weed use have been ongoing for several years. In 2023, King Saha had a heated exchange with fellow artist Bebe Cool, who accused him of drug abuse. Bebe Cool remarked, “Unfortunately, artists like you negatively influence upcoming talent, leading them to think it's acceptable to promote and abuse drugs. For example, the upcoming artist Alien Skin, who has good songs like 'Sitya Danger' and 'Tonkaka,' is learning bad habits from people like you. He has appeared on stage and in videos smoking on several occasions.”
King Saha believes that the labeling of him as a weed smoker has damaged his brand, resulting in fewer opportunities for endorsements, as brands no longer trust him.
